Hyatt Regency Waikiki Executive Chef Jeff Wind
Executive Chef Jeff Wind hails from Chicago, where he started out as a cooking apprentice at the tender age of 14. Chef Wind oversees all the restaurants on property, and plays a key role in evolving each of their menus. He has been with Hyatt for over 30 years, and is responsible for many popular menu items, such as The Colony's 16-Layer Chocolate Cake, which is a childhood favorite of his. "Authentic hospitality with quality products is key." says Chef Wind, no amateur to keeping Hyatt customers loyal, and this is readily evident in all of the restaurants under his care.
Colony Chef de Cuisine Michael Imada
Michael Imada was born and raised on the island of Oahu and has held an interest in cuisine from a young age. This interest-turned-passion earned him degrees in the Culinary Arts and Patisserie/Confiserie from the renowned Culinary Institute of the Pacific. A veteran at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa with 12 years under his belt, his attention to detail and demand for the freshest ingredients is second to none, but it is his attention to service that truly puts him a notch above the rest.
