Under Canvas Moab
Copper-hued haven
Utah canyon country
You’ll swap blue light for starlight at Under Canvas Moab, where tech-free tents ensure all eyes are on desert skies and dessert s’mores. The camp is flanked by two national parks, where you can rock climb in slot canyons, hike to sky-bordering buttes and through rainbow-tinged terrain, and raft down the Colorado River’s rapids. Back at base, grill your dinner under the stars and debrief your day around the fire pit (about which we’re sure you’ll have plenty to say).
Under Canvas Moab is open from 5 March to 26 October 2026.

Our Favourite Rooms
There’s an air of twinkly-eyed magic to the Stargazer tents: your pillow talk will be canopied by constellations thanks to the viewing window above the plush bed. The spacious Suites are ideal for family gaggles, as are the options with an adjacent kids’ tent.
Packing Tips
Take cues from your disconnected camp hosts and bring your film camera to capture Moab in all its raw majesty. Pack climbing shoes for canyoneering and brush up on stargazing with a guide on constellations.
Also
There’s no WiFi here, and you won’t find any TVs around, meaning evenings tend to be filled with stargazing and fireside music and s’mores.
Children
Welcome; there’s no kids’ club or babysitting, but some tents have an adjacent kids’ tent, and family-friendly activities are included with your stay, making Under Canvas an all-ages favorite.

Worth Getting Out of Bed For
Under Canvas Moab lies between Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park: both are nature-packed playgrounds brimming with alfresco activities. The former is the closest and guest experience coordinators can arrange driving tours, where you can marvel at awe-inspiring archways, red-rock formations and towering columns that will set necks craning. Guided hikes can also be organized in either national park; those in Canyonlands National Park pass desert-dotting watering holes and mauve-hued mesas. The rugged terrain lends itself well to canyoneering and rock climbing, or book in a Hummer safari to scale stomach-somersaulting sandstone hills on wheels. You could also swap rocks for rapids, with whitewater rafting on the fast-flowing Colorado River.
